When my brothers and I were growing up we were told at one time or another that our family name is a German word translated as flour merchant. Speaking from a personal viewpoint, as a young boy my thought was that something cooler, like Super Bowl Champion Quarterback, would've had a lot more meaning.

"While I would like to say that Mehl’s Brownies stayed fresh and had a long shelf life, BUT, the truth is they don’t stand a chance. Not because they aren’t supposed to… oh no, no, no. My guess is that they would stay moist for days. The reason they don’t last is because once you make the first cut into the Brownie pan, there is no turning back. Everyone will want a piece… and come back for seconds and thirds! Unfortunately, our Brownies didn’t make it past a couple of hours! Tips and Tricks for Handling and Storing Our Fresh Baked Items
We want you to get he most out of your baked goods, so here are some tips we have discovered over the past few years.
Breads: Will typically keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, and up to 6 months in the freezer. Over time moisture will migrate from the center to the crust, reheating releases moisture back into the center. Toast on medium heat for one full cycle or put in a microwave safe container and heat for 20-30 seconds.
Muffins: Will typically keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, and up to 6 months in the freezer. Reheat for approximately 20 seconds from the fridge or 35 seconds for frozen depending on your particular microwave.
Cakes & Brownies: Will typically keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, and up to 6 months in the freezer. Thaw Brownies by baking uncovered in a 350° oven for 5 min. for refrigerated and 10 min. for brownies frozen. Frosted cakes can be thawed by setting them out for a few hours.
